What Women Entrepreneurs Often Overlook
As a women entrepreneur you often times need to do everything by yourself. This is especially true during business start up. While it is ultimately important to delegate and have an effective support system, during the on set of the business, entrepreneurs often find themselves shorthanded, and in the end they resort to doing everything that needs to be done themselves.
Sure it would be so fun to do everything, only if you are the wonderwoman type, but even the modern woman also has limitation. This is what women entrepreneurs ofter overlook, their own selves, and their own health. Women exhaust themselves to the very limit; to the point of getting sick. Resting may not be a likely option when you are running around making your business move, nevertheless it is mandatory. Here are some simple steps to take care of your self while starting your own business;
Sneak in down time on your schedule. If you don’t put it in the schedule, it won’t happen. This holds true for most women in business. With that said, make sure to take a break from your busy day. This will help you ease burnout and will help you perform better in starting your business.
Exercise. Another thing to squeeze into your schedule is exercise. From going for a 15 minute walk 3 times a week to hitting a gym for a full workout will help you develop strength in the body and will also help you sleep better. Remember that you need a strong physique to be able to do all things you need to do.
Watch what you eat. Women who work from home or working alone may find it hard to eat healthy. Sometimes being too near the kitchen or being just a call away from fast food delivery will tempt you to eat junk all day. Being busy is no reason to scrimp on good food.. Remember that healthy food is more filling and will give you more strength to last you through your day, rather than eating take outs all the time. Never pass on meals as well, this will only leave you less energized and weaker.
Sleep. For the busy entrepreneur, sleeping can sometimes be optional. This is a highly dangerous habit. Lacking sleep will also leave you sickly so sleep when its time to. After a hard day’s work, treat your body and mind that well deserved sleep for you to be refreshed and ready for yet another day.
What women entrepreneurs need to remember is that good health and a sound mind are the best assets needed to start and run a business, so you need to make an effort to stay in good shape. There is a lot to do to open up a business so you need the strength to keep up with all the work. Being tired and undernourished will only slow you down. So ladies, remember to put yourself first and take care of your biggest treasure, YOU!
