My shopping knowledge saves my family money.
I save my family money by becoming a well-informed shopper. In these challenging economic times, I am educating myself about the various ways I can cut costs so our money will go further.
Saving money is something I am proud of. I research coupon websites and clip paper coupons for the things I need to buy. I pair up coupons with in-store sales to double my savings. I am free from shame when it comes to using coupons because I am money wise.
I seek money saving tips from friends and relatives and share what I know. Learning from others is a great way to increase my financial knowledge. When people hear of a good deal, they call and tell me because they know I enjoy saving money, and I do the same for them.
Weekly, I look through the newspaper to find out about upcoming sales at local stores. Before things go on sale, I browse the store to see if there is something I need. Shopping before a sale prevents me from purchasing things I have no need of.
I plan my shopping trips ahead of time so I can be prepared with a list of items and corresponding coupons. When I visit the grocery store, I avoid unnecessary spending by sticking to my list.
I am learning when to buy things and when to wait for a sale. I am stronger than the impulse to buy unnecessary items. I am conscientious of what I can afford and I value my family’s financial freedom over the acquisition of possessions.
Today, I save my family money by being a smart shopper and exercising self-control.
