<p>Each morning, I wake up a few minutes earlier than usual in order to indulge in my favorite activities. Sometimes I go walking</p>
<p>with my partner or head to the local coffee shop with my best friends. Other times, I simply craft at my kitchen table or watch my favorite television shows that I record just for this purpose.</p>
<p>Some people may say that it is selfish to devote so much time to myself, but I highly disagree. I have a family and responsibilities  but <strong><em>I am more than a spouse, parent or a profession</em></strong><strong><em>al; I am still an individual!</em></strong></p>
<p>I deserve to indulge in my favorite activities and have fun living my life!</p>
<p>In addition to my personal fun time, <strong><em>I try to plan activities that the entire family will enjoy.</em></strong></p>

<p>I understand that my family is constantly evolving. Therefore, it is important that we are diligent about rediscovering our individual interests and our favorite activities as a family.</p>

<p>Fortunately, creating healthy glowing skin doesn&#8217;t require the help of commercially marketed products. <strong><em>There are many at-home tips and tricks available to get the desired results from your skin.</em></strong> You may be pleasantly surprised at how easy, effective, and inexpensive some of these tips are.</p>
<p><strong>Try these tips to welcome healthy skin the easy, at-home way:</strong></p>

<li>Prepare regular oatmeal (not instant), let it cool, and then apply it to your face for about 30 minutes. <strong><em>Once you rinse it off and dry your face, you&#8217;ll instantly feel the benefits of the exfoliating properties of natural oatmeal.</em></strong></li>

Allowing the warm washcloth to remain on your face for a few minutes will allow your pores to open to prevent them from becoming blocked with blemish causing oil.</p>

<p>In the face of difficult times, I pray and ask my Creator for guidance. The answers to my questions can be found through prayer. I protect my heart from bitterness when I accept the Creator’s sovereign plan over my own.</p>
<p>In place of bitterness or self-pity, I embrace forgiveness. <strong><em>Letting go of my hurt is the only way I can have a chance to live.</em></strong> I forgive myself for my shortcomings and focus on my strengths. I forgive others for their role in contributing to any negative circumstances.</p>
<p>To keep loneliness far away, I surround myself with people who care about me. Having others rally around me is a source of comfort and strength. When I know I am not alone, I have the courage to stand up to depression.</p>
<p><strong><em>The support of my friends and family is my lifeline.</em></strong> Like a life raft, they support me. The unconditional love of those close to me helps me realize that there is more to life.</p>

<p>2.      <strong>Use naps to supplement your nighttime sleep. </strong>Until your baby sleeps through the night, naps can help you survive. Take a nap when your child falls asleep during the day. Feeding your baby before a nap may help you both sleep longer.<strong><br />

<p>My family members and I plan for our meals together. If possible, dinner is served at the same time each day to ensure other commitments don&#8217;t interfere with our time.</p>
<p>I encourage my family to come together in peace. I refrain from discussing unconstructive topics during dinner because I want it to remain a positive experience. The conversation around the dinner table remains welcoming and joyful.</p>
<p>The dinner table is the place where we share exciting news, tell funny stories, and talk about the day. There is no judgment. My family members are free to share what is in their hearts during mealtimes. I enjoy listening to each member of my family and they enjoy listening to me.</p>
<p>Conversations at our table demonstrate our values and teach my children essential communication skills. My children look forward to gathering for meals. I am teaching my children responsibility and the value of serving one another by asking them to help set up the table.</p>
<p>The television, cell phone, or any other distraction is avoided during mealtimes. I engage with my family taking full advantage of the present. To spend just a few precious moments with the people I love most, while I have them with me, is a privilege, not a burden.</p>
<p>Today, I choose to plug into my family by sitting down to enjoy a meal together.</p>

<p><strong><em>It&#8217;s very possible that you have preventable behaviors that are causing your sleeplessness.</em></strong></p>
<p>Sleeping and eating habits directly affect your ability to fall asleep. These easy adjustments to your routine may leave you sleeping like a baby.</p>

<li><strong>Control the temperature.</strong> The temperature in your room may be affecting how well you sleep at night. Is your thermostat turned up too high? <strong><em>Lower temperatures trick our bodies into rest</em></strong> to conserve energy and body heat. Consider adjusting the temperature and see if you notice a difference: 6 to 10 degrees cooler than your daytime temperature is sufficient.</li>
<li><strong>Eliminate as much light as possible.</strong> <strong><em>A darker room is more likely to induce sleep than a bright room.</em></strong> Therefore, if you&#8217;re accustomed to going to bed with the lights on, try turning them off and see if the results are any different. Consider purchasing a sleep mask to block out any ambient lighting.</li>

<p><strong>Could You Be Eating Your Way to Sleeplessness?</strong></p>
<p>In many cases, how and what you eat could be the reason you can&#8217;t sleep. <strong>Consider these tips and adjust your diet as necessary so you can have more restful nights:</strong></p>

<li><strong>Avoid eating heavy late night meals.</strong> If you&#8217;re up late at night, you&#8217;ll likely get hungry. However, eating heavier meals too late at night can put a lot of pressure on your digestive system. When your body is trying to digest food, it can keep you awake.</li>
<li><strong>Avoid caffeine consumption.</strong> While you might be a caffeine lover, it could very well be the cause of your insomnia.
